Background of WKM

OUR STORY

• Wakhema Trading Company Limited (WKM) has established in 2009. The company has formed with eight shareholders and invested MMK 900 million shares actively working in Yangon, Myanmar. The main businesses are international trade (export & import), Money Changer, Remittance, and Microfinance business. The company is supplied agriculture-based products Myanmar White Rice and Broken Rice officially to foreign countries since 2009.

• The company has been recognized by the General Administration of Customs China (GACC) with registration number MMDOA-243 since 2019, the company can officially export Myanmar Rice and Broken Rice not only in Border Trade but also in normal trade to China. Otherwise, the company has been registered as a Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) certified exporter with registration no MMREX00788 exports Myanmar Rice and Broken Rice to EU-related countries. The company usually nominates as a food supplier company in World Food Program (WFP), Myanmar.

• The Company’s two rice mills have been permitted by Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) since 2020, these rice mills are licensed ISO 9001: 2015 quality management system.
